The Transcendent Philosophy: An International Journal For Comparative Philosophy And Mysticism, published by the London Academy of Iranian Studies (LAIS), invites scholars to submit original research for an upcoming special issue on Comparative Studies on Philosophy and Sufism. We welcome contributions that explore philosophical and mystical traditions across cultures, engaging with key thinkers and concepts in an interdisciplinary manner.

- Philosophers & Mystics: Al-Farabi, Avicenna, Suhrawardi, Mulla Sadra, Sheikh Safi al-Din Ardabili, Rumi, Ibn Arabi, Eckhart, Guénon, Schuon, Burckhardt, Otto, Jung, Ernst Cassirer, Massignon, Eliade.
- Comparative Themes: Islamic Psychology, Spiritual Psychology, Yoga, Buddhism, Zen, Upanishads, Kabbalah, Christian Mysticism and Philosophy of Art.
We encourage comparative, interdisciplinary, and original approaches that bridge different traditions in philosophy, mysticism and Psychology.
Submission Guidelines
- Article Structure:
- Author’s full name, e-mail, academic affiliation
- Abstract (100-300 words) and 5-7 keywords
- Introduction, main body (with at least three subheadings), conclusion, bibliography
- APA (7th Edition) Citation Style
- Format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx), 12-point Times New Roman, double-spaced
- Submission Email: Articles must be sent to philosophy@iranianstudies.org by 30 September 2026.
Publication & Journal Details
- All accepted articles will undergo double-anonymous peer review.
- Authors of accepted articles must sign a publishing agreement, granting the journal exclusive commercial rights while retaining copyright.
- Articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution-Non-commercial (CC BY-NC) license, allowing free academic sharing but restricting commercial use.
