About the course
The course Semantic Structure of the Qur’an introduces a distinctive approach to Qur’anic interpretation that moves beyond linear, verse-by-verse reading. Instead, each sūrah is studied as a coherent and integrated whole, possessing its own internal structure, conceptual flow, and semantic structure.
Through this method, the inner logic of sūrahs becomes visible: how themes unfold, how concepts are interrelated, and how meaning progresses across verses. This approach opens new horizons for contemplation, allowing the Qur’an to be read as a unified discourse rather than a collection of isolated statements.
Throughout the course, participants learn how to identify the structural map of a sūrah and explore the philosophical, theological, mystical, and ethical dimensions embedded within that structure. The aim is not only analytical understanding, but also to connect Qur’anic meaning to contemporary life—so that the Qur’an becomes a living source of guidance for ethical reflection, personal development, and engagement with modern challenges.
This course is designed to cultivate a systematic, conscious, and applicable understanding of the Qur’an, enabling participants to approach the divine text with greater depth, clarity, and insight.
